NEVER GO! Their weed is crap-dried shag (not their fault, its prewired).
And the black dude & "so-caled guard" is a slow idiot with horrible customer service. Chuck (manager) is a friendly, honest dude but unfortunately knows crap about weed and therefore their whole staff at the Venice crap doesn’t know crap about weed. I was going to pocket a couple fat nugs due to their ignorance of the plant. They pissed me off.

My visit to GGR was one of the worst experiences in my life, well actually multiple visits.  The process of being accepted is nearly impossible, and the owners are unprofessional and EXTREMELY rude in every aspect of this process. When I first came to this horrible dispensary; I was informed that based on new patient acceptance rules I would have to fill out all necessary paperwork, and I would receive a call within 24 hours, confirming my information after review by a manager.  This minor speed bump was inconvenient, but I could understand a dispensary looking out for it's best interest.  I had no problem with this step and filled out my paperwork accordingly.  THREE WEEKS LATER! I still had not received a confirmation call so I assumed my paperwork had been lost or something of that nature.  I called the dispensary and told them that I filled out the paperwork but still had not been confirmed.  The receptionist told me that the owner probably missed my application and I would receive a call before the day was over.  TWO WEEKS LATER! Still no call, so I called again and received a similar answer from the receptionist as the last time I called.  Again I waited for the call that would grant my acceptance to GGR, and again the call never came.  At this point I was frustrated with dealing with this dispensary over the phone and being treated like shit. A couple weeks after my second call; I called and explained my situation and decided to go to the dispensary in person to make sure I would be accepted this time!  The receptionist upon hearing my story acted as if the phone call screening process never existed and informed me I would be accepted as long as I came before 6pm(I believe that was the time maybe 8pm or 4pm).  I showed up around 2pm anxious to finally get in, much overdue, after walking over a mile!  I entered finally ready to get the strain that originally drew me to this dispensary, sure that I would be accepted.  I entered and explained the hassles I had undergone to the receptionist who I had talked to earlier that told me that I would be accepted before 4.  While explaining to her, a manager from behind the receptionist came out and told me that I WOULD STILL HAVE TO WAIT LONGER and that the process was thorough and if I wanted to get in I was going to have to continue my waiting.  At this point I was ecstatic and ready to give up on these unprofessional jerks.  My friend had gained entrance to this dispensary upon his first attempt, yet for some reason unbeknownst to me I would have to jump through hoops of fire to get in!  I asked the manager why it was taking so long, and explained how my friend got in right away.  He was short and rude in his response.  I told him that, this being my fourth attempt, it would be my last if I did not gain entrance then and there.  He said that’s fine don't come back...!!!!  Immediately after his response, the receptionist came upon my paperwork and asked if this was I.  I responded YES ACTUALLY THAT IS!  The manager said it didn't matter and I would still have to wait.  I told them don't bother and asked them to permanently remove me from their list.  Unless you are interested in being treated like dirt I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER go to this dispensary.  It was one of the worst experiences of my life.

So the guard first doubted the legitimacy of my script (It's Sona Patel by the way). No biggie I thought. "Come on in man, sorry about the mix up" says the guy on the other side of the glass a few minutes later.

I walk into their green room. There's a small 3x6 table of clones to my right, beyond that a couple edible coolers that were 90% empty. On the back wall sits 50 or so large containers of various buds.

The budtenders basically had no idea what any of their genetics were. One strain they called "ATF" in particular, "Is this bud indica or sativa" I ask, the best she could offer was asking another "volunteer" what was in it, to which he replied "I dont know but it's very good man." Awesome, I guess?

There was a manager about, too bad she didn't offer to help. I picked through a few more "buckets" until I found a decent OG, now comes the fun part:

Their scales weigh to one hundredth of a gram. That's right folks, say hello to 3.51 gram 1/8s!

That's a joke, I'm sorry but for real? Cut into the margin a little bit guys, its called compassion remember? You are already reaming us for a high priced per gram investment, shameful. This may seem harsh, but this place is a blatant gold mine operating for profit. There are better dispensaries to drop your hard earned money.

Creepy vibe. Medicine seemed good by variety. Pricey, so much so I will probably do the old drive to my dispeniery in Malibu. Comparable medicine and more affordable.

Unlike 90% of the jerks around I need this for my condition. Point- I ask some questions pertinent to my deal. Blank looks, "well this a kush, this a sativa"

Had better experiences... I'm not giving up, I'll give them a fair shake.

Great service. The vap room is awesome, you can just kick and watch tv and try out what your new meds. There is no rush to get in and get out. The ppl that work there are incredibly friendly, helped me pick certain strains. Had a great selection of everything except for edibles. When I went they were running pretty low, and the size of the brownies weren't very big. But the place is so nice that it makes up for that. Totally recommend going.

Just visited last night. Clean and comfortable establishment. The addition of the vapor room is a fantastic idea. We watched the last bit of the Lakers game and everyone had a great time. It does feel good not to be rushed and plus having a volcano present allows more people to be exposed to that excellent machine. I bought the reserve GGR OG Kush is something special. I'm looking forward to coming back.

Over 50 strains to choose from. Plenty of delicious edibles. Lots of convenient parking. Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. More than affordable pricing. Potent concentrates. Lavish vapor lounge. Open everyday until 2AM. What more could a patient ask for?

Always plenty of parking. Too many strains to choose from. By far the best looking dispensary I have ever been to. Customer service is through the roof. The Vapor lounge is my favorite place to chill now after work until traffic dies down. These guys are even open everyday until 2am which nobody else does. Im hooked 4 life. Keep up the great work guys.

The Gourmet Green Room in West L.A. is opening a new store in Venice on Wednesday. The Grand Opening will be on 4/20. 736 Lincoln Blvd. in Venice Open Daily from 11am to 2am 365 days a year.
