Valley Village Medical Marijuana Patient Reviews

I've been a patient for three years now, and have experienced all kinds of collectives / dispensaries. The first thing I noticed when I visited VVC was how comfortable the atmosphere was. The girl behind the counter was extremely helpful and surprisingly knowlegeable about all the strains. Great meds, very nice prices, and I really like the freebie bon bons they give out. Overall, a very good experience. |

Please take into account that I'm a bit biased in my review of Valley Village Caregivers. This can only be blamed on the fact that I had never actually been to a Cannabis dispensary before.
The 30 minute trip to V.V.C. was well worth it. I wouldn't normally travel so far except for the fact that Valley Village is open until midnight on Saturdays (a major plus if you just received your recommendation only hours before).
The front of the shop is very inconspicuous. The only recognizable evidence that the business was open was the ominous glowing sign that read "V.V.C." in bright purple letters.
I had to look twice to find the place. This was a very good thing considering I was on edge - wondering if passers-by would pay me any attention.
Once you're through the front door there is a doorbell directly in front of you that reads "Ring for service". After ringing the bell someone will open a small window in front of you and ask for your recommendation. This is only for first time visitors. After your first visit only your ID. card is required.
The inside is cool. Although some may want a flashy and super stylish interior to feel special, I'm someone who enjoys simplicity. The V.V.C. is great in this aspect; simple with great service. There are a few rusty nintendos and other ancient gaming consoles idling across the room, waiting for someone to dust of the controllers. The door guy greeted me after my paperwork checked out. He led me over to the bar where another employee stood, ready for my endless list of questions.
The bar is your everyday jewelry counter glass case which holds all nature of medicinal products. The prices were written very clearly on a dry-erase board posted behind the counter. The medical cannabis is sold in a number of different quantities for prices ranging from $55.00 to $65.00.
If you're looking for something a little more potent, there is hashish. I didn't purchase any hash on my first visit, I was more interested in the smoke and edible products.
There are a number of pre-rolled joints to choose from. As for the edibles: cookies, cakes, fudge, chocolates, truffles, and honey to name a few. I was a bit concerned with the potency of their products considering I just transferred south from Humboldt State. Needless to say I was presently surprised and very happy once I tested out their supposedly "high potency" cookies that are cooked with organic bubble hash.
Yes, they are VERY potent!
After purchasing $100.00 worth of goods they gave me a few free truffles and an 1/8th of any smoke I wanted.
Replace "smoke" with "medical marijuana" anywhere you feel is necessary.
The staff was awesome and incredibly helpful. I've read horror stories about people feeling unsafe at a local dispensary - that's not the case here.
Overall I would give this place a 4 3/4 stars out of 5. I'm only subtracting the 1/4 star because I was also looking for some THC butter/oil that I could use to cook.
Oops, wait, they give you a free 1/8th for every person you refer. That puts them back up to 5 of 5 stars in my book.
Enjoy!
