My first experience here over a year ago kind of blew, it was expensive, long wait and then after checking out a bunch of other collectives I gave it a try again a couple months later because its just up the street from my place anyway. Their prices are much better now ($25-$60 1/8s), they have great shakes (that aren't any leaves or stems!) with specials all the time. Their edibles are potent and the people that run the place are pretty chill. They might be stoned at times, which is fine, but it sometimes gets in the way of business. But when they’re not stoned though you have their attention and they do a great job of taking care of you. The environment is very homey and clean. The jerk that said this place was run by thugs obviously doesn’t get it. The neighborhood isn’t exactly West Hollywood, but in the 3+ years I've lived in Highland Park I've never had a problem. There aren’t gangsters trolling the streets or hanging out at this collective. It’s a good place.

I was extremely disappointed. Paid way too much for what I got.  For a first time customer I didn't receive anything extra. So for those who got something for the first visit, you are very LUCKY. I will never be returning to this place again. Booooo really bad!

By far the worst place I've been to. I hope they get shut down. Rude, I had to wait 20 minutes to get in. And they charge tax! What? That's not legal. Tax on a donation? Family run, I dont think so. It's a bunch of thugs with no class. This place is what is giving the cause a bad name.

I have been attending the Highland Park Patient Collective in Los Angeles for about 3 months. They always carry high quality medication for patients of all budgets. The owners are great, nice, and knowledgable. Because it is a family-based collective, they have a relaxing and comfortable environment consisting of a big screen TV with video game consoles available for all customers to enjoy. They carry a wide selection of edibles, drinks, and medication. Patients are allowed to smoke inside and they provide bongs, pipes, vaporizers, and volcanoes.

The times I have frequented this dispensary I have never had one bad experience, and I have visited at various times/hours of the day. Everyone that I have spoken to is cool and the owners are chill themselves. I always went back for the lavender meds. Granted I have not visited since June '09. Still, I would go back. I agree the prices are outlandish but still you can a get a semi-decent meds and sprinkle some hash or kief on it and you will be just fine.

First off they are nice, that's where the good comments end. This is a bad area, the "Avenues" gang members asked me where I'm from when I exited the shop and asked me if I had meds, I lied and said I was going to the ATM and I'll be back. This was a close one, cause I heard people get robbed there. There is no parking, and they make you swipe your ID before anyone opens the door. Meds called "Diamond Kush" were the best they had, it was dry, pre-bagged, and was missing 0.1 grams, and they charged me tax.

The lady helping me knew nothing of Sativa or Indica strains. This place should be made to a hamburger joint. Don't go there.

By far the worst dispensory I've been to. The prices are too expensive to begin with and then the add tax! All of the meds are pre-packaged. So you can't see them weight it. Also the meds were dry! I don't know how they store them because its all in the back room where you can't see. They give it to you in baggies not bottles. I went recently as a new patient and received 1 free joint.

Only good thing about them is their location. Closest place to Pasadoobie, CA.

I just visited this place today, and honestly it's a pretty decent collective. Good looking place & good looking people. Selection was kind of minimal & prices were a little expensive. But the best part was sampling some product. Very awesome. Overall, the place was alright.

I went there three times, with my recomendation, they say the don't do internet verification. They called once, and I was told, "wait 20 minutes while I help the patients in the back and well try again"! Even the security looked at me like hell no! There is a girl there who is rude, she looked tired and didnt make the effort to check my rec.

In contrast to other reviewers, i find this collective to have a very wide range of selection and prices. In fact, it's the only i've seen with 1/8s as cheap as $35.

Huge edible selection - cakes, cookies, lollipops, etc.

The only weird thing about this place is their website - it doesn't work even though it shows up, and it has old info on it. That, or their policies are inconsistently implemented. For example, as a first time customer, I was given one pre-fab joint. The website (and one other reviewer) says you get a gram. Hmm.

My first visit to any dispensary. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, free pipe and a gram for new 1st time patients. I inquired about shake at affordable prices, and it appears they do have it in time to time, it really is a hit and miss. My free gram was "diamond" wow this really packed a punch. good for late night. Hash bud @ 15gr. Not bad on the pocket.

Decent buds, selection is a bit lacking. Way too pricey. If you need buds then ok, but other wise shop around. Grade: "C-"
